Paul Tate began composing at just 8 years old and began to write Liturgical music while studying at the University of Georgia where he obtained a Master’s of Music Composition. Throughout his career, he has worked with several liturgical training programs, appeared in concerts and given workshops all around the world. One of his great joys is to, “travel the world, meeting, praying, and making music with God's people.” Finding inspiration in the confident sound of a singing assembly, Tate’s compositions are often based in Liturgical writings and can be characterized by unique chord progressions and pleasing vocal harmonies. No exception to his signature style, his OCP debut Mass of St. Joseph, is singable, fresh and memorable. When he is not composing music, Tate tours the country leading workshops in piano, vocal, composition and music theory. He also presents clinics for musical ensembles, concerts, retreats for choirs and music leaders, choral reading sessions and more with the hope that attendees come to a deeper understanding of their relationship with God, though music.
