Katie Wills

Bio

Katie Wills is a composer and musician based in Plainfield, New Jersey. She began composing her own music at an early age. After joining her parish choir, she was inspired to learn to play the organ, and soon became a leader of song and assistant organist by the age of 15.

After college, Katie began performing her music in local venues in New Jersey and New York City. She recorded two albums entitled Random Acts of Chaos and Thursdays in the World. Her song, “Unbroken,” was featured on a 9/11 charity compilation CD, Sounds of Hope NYC. In addition, she was honored to be a soloist at a Carnegie Hall performance of Sing for the Cure.

In 1996, Katie accepted the position of director of music ministry at Immaculate Heart of Mary church in Scotch Plains, New Jersey, where she has been happily serving for almost 30 years. She has written many songs for her parish, and most recently was deeply honored to have her music published with OCP.

Currently, Katie and her husband Russ live in Plainfield, New Jersey. They have four wonderful children.
