Bio
David Nastal is director of performing arts at Georgetown Visitation Preparatory School and director of music at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Washington, D.C. He has contributed articles about children to Today’s Liturgy magazine, provides children’s music suggestions for Today’s Liturgy with Children and is the author of Children’s Choir Basics. David instructs voice and piano students, directs five performing groups, serves as a clinician for regional choir workshops and presents lectures and concerts around the world.He received a bachelor’s degree in music performance and education from Westminster College, New Wilmington, Pennsylvania, and a master’s degree in liturgical music from The Catholic University of America, in Washington, D.C. He did post-graduate work in liturgical music at the Royal School of Church Music in London, and studied choral conducting with John Rutter at Clare College, Cambridge University, England.
