Bio

†Ramona Camacho (1941–2003), a Puerto Rican singer and composer, sang in hospitals, on the radio and in different cultural activities. For her, "music is the greatest gift that one can give to people." One of her best experiences was singing at the United Nations headquarters in 1988. After this experience, she moved to Florida in 1989. Ramona said, "you need to move with the times, giving music new perspectives, like Christ's message."

As a composer, she saw the importance of including elements characteristic of the culture in her liturgical music. Ramona died in January of 2003.
