OCP is celebrating the much-anticipated release of the new Glory & Praise, Fourth Edition. This popular hymnal has animated the Church’s prayer with beloved music for decades, and the new fourth edition continues this legacy with almost 200 new titles for worship. We could not be more pleased with how it turned out! Now that the hymnal is available for purchase, I wanted share the release schedule for its accompaniment resources and forthcoming editions:

Glory & Praise, Fourth Edition with Readings
I also wanted to explain why the Readings edition of Glory & Praise is coming so much later than other editions. As you may know, the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) recently approved a new English-language translation of the Bible called the Catholic American Bible, which will be used in a new Lectionary for Mass as well as a new edition of the Liturgy of the Hours. The Glory & Praise, Fourth Edition with Readings will feature texts from the new Lectionary for Mass, which the USCCB estimates will not be released until liturgical year 2029.
We can’t wait to get Glory & Praise, Fourth Edition into the hands of your parishioners, but if you prefer a resource with readings that will unfortunately take a little longer. Rest assured, we are working closely with the USCCB to make sure Glory & Praise, Fourth Edition with Readings will be available as soon as possible after the updated Lectionary for Mass is confirmed.
