Music and Mission #59 - Jaime Cortez

On this episode of Music and Mission, watch Catholic artist Jaime Cortez perform the bilingual song “Para Amor como Tú,” written by Jesse Manibusan and Santiago Fernandez. “Para Amar como Tú” lists the corporal works of mercy and weaves together Spanish and English lyrics, making it the perfect song for bilingual celebrations focused on themes of social justice.

OCP composer Jaime Cortez explains why he loves the bilingual song “Para Amor como Tú,” written by Jesse Manibusan and Santiago Fernandez. He highlights how simple and accessible the bilingual text is for English speakers and appreciates the song’s litany of the works of mercy as an important reminder of how we are meant to live as followers of Christ.
