Bio
†James Hansen (1937–2018) is known for his long association with the National Association of Pastoral Musicians Cantor and Lector Schools as coordinator and master teacher. The former director for the Office of Worship in Marquette, Michigan, he held a master’s degree in education and choral conducting from Northern Michigan University.
Until his death in May 2018, James was a frequent collaborator with Melanie Coddington, with whom he developed the NPM Cantor Express, bringing the principles of interactive liturgy to life in his events.
