Benedictine Brother †Bernard Botte (1883–1980) was a monk of Mont César and director of the Institute de Liturgie, in Paris, from 1956 to 1964. He inspired the idea, expressed most notably in Sacrosanctum concilium, that liturgical renewal will not succeed without the proper liturgical formation of priests. He is the author of From Silence to Participation.
