Two talented composers join forces to bring you a complete and extremely versatile bilingual (English/Spanish) collection of music for the liturgy. These easy-to-sing bilingual selections from Jaime Cortez and Bob Hurd are easily adapted to suit your particular needs and will bring a special life and joy to your liturgical celebrations.
While most of the songs can be sung completely bilingually, they can also be done all in Spanish or all in English, depending on your community's needs. With music for gathering, dismissal, Communion, sprinkling rite and more, this collection offers songs to enhance a variety of liturgical moments. The collection also contains some Mass parts and recordings for Misa del Pueblo Inmigrante (while some of the English texts are no longer approved for liturgical use, the Spanish parts can still be used for liturgy).
The flowing melodies and contagious rhythms of songs like "Vayan al Mundo/Go Out to the World" and the title track will certainly enhance any liturgical celebration. "Letanía para la Fracción del Pan/Litany for the Breaking of the Bread," inspired by John Schiavone's litany for the breaking of the bread, invites the assembly to sing "Ten piedad de nosotros, danos la paz" continuously while the cantor adds titles in both English and Spanish.
