Named Pastoral Musician of the Year by the National Association of Pastoral Musicians (2016), renowned liturgical musician Jaime Cortez presents a collection of songs that reflects the musical tapestry of the cultural diversity in the U.S. Catholic Church. Featuring his multilingual "The Body of Christ," among many other memorable bilingual, English and Spanish-language songs, the catchy vibrancy of this collection embraces the message of unity through diversity and the integration of languages, cultures and generations, as they gather to worship God in today's Church.

Jaime's versatility as a composer is on full display with two new hymn texts based on John’s Gospel: "Tu Palabra, el Santo Verbo," set to the popular BEACH SPRING, and "Your Word Is Everlasting," set to a new hymn tune. Included in this collection are pieces Jaime has also written with other composers such as "Every Single Thing We Are/Todas Nuestras Vidas" and "Pide, Busca, Llama," newly written with Rodolfo López. And with songs like "Arrepiéntete/Repent," using approved texts from the Misal Romano, this collection has perfect accompaniments for bilingual parochial events where both English and Spanish speakers gather to reflect and live the path to Holy Week.

Included in this collection, you will find many musical options to help engage your community at a multigenerational level, whether in a liturgical setting or a devotional setting. Songs like "Salmo 99: Nosotros Somos Su Pueblo/Psalm 100: We Are God’s People" and "Pueblo de Dios/People of God" will serve your liturgical needs for Mass, while songs like "Quiero Responder que Sí/Lord, I Say 'Yes'"and "Yo Estaré con Ustedes/I Am with You Always" are bilingual options to grow in the apostolate, an excellent way to express devotion to Our Holy Mother or accompany the blessing of the Quinceañera with music.
