This short but effective arrangement of the well-known spiritual is scored for unaccompanied SAB chorus. Verse one is for solo voice or unison choir, adding all voices for verse 2. The third verse is a wordless canon on the tune for two-part equal or mixed voices. And verse 4 modulates up a third but returns to the SAB texture, now with an additional solo voice for musical punctuation.
