Based on the VENI, VENI EMMANUEL chant, this Gathering litany and Rite is presented here in two treatments: the first, more traditional sounding setting is suitable for organ and cantor. The second is geared toward a contemporary ensemble — keyboard, bass, percussion, guitar and cantor. Both settings are scored for SATB choir, though either setting can be used with or without a choir.
