Christmas songs told from Joseph’s perspective are less common so this children’s song will make a welcome addition to family Masses, youth choir concert, or festivals of lessons and carols. It can also be used on the Feast of the Holy Family. The four unison verses employ a predictable rhythmic profile and straightforward harmonic plan. The refrain has similar musical characteristics and adds a descant. The keyboard and guitar accompaniment is enhanced by a flute part.
