This is a reflective choice for use as a Communion song, Holy Thursday, or the feast of Corpus Christi. The lyrics of the refrain focus on the what it means to truly receive Christ, while the verses elaborate on his sanctity, sacrifice, and invitation to holiness. The slightly more syncopated melody of the verses stands in contrast to the refrain's straightforward rhythms, a contrast that mirrors the perfection of Christ in the breaking of the Bread with our human imperfection.
